Jardín Botánico del Descubrimiento

The Jardín Botánico del Descubrimiento is a botanical ensemble covering an extension of 16,219 m² of terrain located in the municipality of Vallehermoso on the island of La Gomera. This island infrastructure is located next to the road leading to Vallehermoso beach in the neighbourhood of San Pedro, in a rural terrace farmland setting surrounded by one of the best examples of thermophilic forest in the entire Canarian Archipelago; inside it one can see some of the characteristic species of this plant community, such as junipers, Canary Island date palms, wild olives, dragon trees or morning-glory trees.

Mirador de Jinama

This viewpoint is located 1,250 metres above sea level, in the centre-east part of El Hierro. It has some of the most impressive views on the island; you can see all of the Golfo bay, the picturesque vineyards and the pineapple and banana plantations. You can find a small chapel dedicated to the Virgen of Charity near the viewpoint.

His feats, such as swimming across the Strait of Gibraltar, connecting the Canary Islands, and tackling more than 100 kilometres of open sea, have consolidated his position as an icon of sport and personal achievement.

Casa de los Quilla

In the heart of Calle Real, right in front of the Church of La Asunción, we find this beautiful house dating from the last third of the 18th century. Its most prominent architectural feature is its enclosed balcony with shutters. Currently, it is closed to the public, but inside it houses the island's historical archive.
