The beach at Las Teresitas is located in the north-east of Tenerife, close to the centre of Santa Cruz. Approximately 1.5 kilometres long, the beach benefits from a breakwater that protects against currents and creates water so calm that it resembles a pool. And since it is situated in the south of La Graciosa, it has breathtaking views of the sea strait and the gigantic wall of natural stone that make up the cliffs of Famara on the northeast coast of Lanzarote.

Playa Grande is an urban beach located in the big tourist area of Puerto del Carmen, in the south of the island of Lanzarote. This calm water beach is over a kilometre long. Of the many beaches in the area, Playa Grande is the best known given that it welcomes more visitors than any other and life in Puerto del Carmen revolves around it. Its fame is due, in part to Las Playas avenue (the Strip) which is a long waterfront promenade with a cycle lane as well as lots of shops and nightlife areas.

The Los Cancajos beach is in the east of the island of La Palma, two kilometres north of the airport and also two kilometres to the south of the island capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma. The beach is a bay, protected by breakwaters of volcanic rock which guarantees tranquil waters throughout the year and a rich selection of marine life. For these reasons it’s perfect for first-time scuba dives, to initiate you into this fantastic water sport.

One of Gran Canaria’s most beautiful protected landscapes with spectacular geology, flora, fauna and archaeological sites as well as pretty Guayedra beach and superb sunsets. Close to Agaete town the Guayedra valley is accessed by road from the Agaete Valley. Its dark lava, many palm trees and the spectacular views of the west coast cliffs and across the sea to Teide volcano make the walk down to Guayedra beach a treat. It’s one of the island most attractive beaches.

If you’re in Gran Canaria and moderately fit, the hike to Güi Güi beach is a fantastic trek with a happy ending: A swim in the normally tranquil Atlantic Ocean with views of Teide volcano on the horizon. Legendary Guguy isn’t just famous for its beach but for the journey needed to arrive: A two and a half hour hike, with some difficult stretches, through pristine nature with clean air and no crowds.
