Contadero-El Cedro

Located in the municipality of Hermigua, this walk crosses a valley which traps the clouds the trade winds bring. This high level of humidity allows greenery to flourish species like ridge heath woodland, Myrica faya and laurel forest. It is worth mentioning the great variety of trees native to Garajonay such as Indian Bay, laurel and linden trees. This walk through the hills of La Gomera ends at El Cedro waterfall, a natural 150 metre high waterfall which fills the reservoirs in the farming valley of Hermigua all year round.
