Perhaps the most unique of all El Hierro’s villages, this tiny hamlet, located in the smallest of the Canary Islands, doesn’t just invite you to marvel at the ancestral thatched roofs of many of the houses made of volcanic stone, but also offers you the chance to enjoy natural pools - one small, another large – that are partially protected from the Atlantic Ocean. You can also swim in the open sea, waves permitting. More than enough reasons to visit this area of El Mocanal in Valverde, the island capital.
