If countless botanists have marveled for centuries upon contemplating the north of Tenerife, tourists today have it much easier; not only in feeling the same way, but travelling by car through a region with many botanical, heritage, gastronomic and oceanic treasures in a single day. This route begins in Puerto de la Cruz, one of the cradles of tourism in Spain, and leads first to La Orotava, which enjoys one of the most relevant historical centers of the Canary Islands along with excellent views of the Teide and the pine forest. The excursion is worthwhile for this alone.
