The Las Playas Natural Monument protects one of El Hierro's most surprising landscapes: the enormous marks left along the south-east coast by a series of massive landslides that affected part of the youngest of the Canary Islands. The result is an enormous amphitheatre, nine kilometres long and over 1,000 metres high, which faces out to sea captivates visitors, creating a secret tranquil space. Far from towns and villages, this is an ideal place for a very quiet holiday.

In Gran Canaria this is the Pico de las Nieves lookout point right in the centre of the island. Teide National Park is the perfect place to appreciate the constructive creativity of volcanoes. Located in the centre of Tenerife, the star attraction of this natural amphitheatre, which measures 15 kilometres wide and is the product of countless eruptions, is El Pico de Teide, which, at 3.715 metres above sea level is the highest mountain in the whole of Spain. Anyone who has delighted in its magnificent lava flows and has seen its impossibly clear skies above will understand why this natural treasure is the most visited natural park in Europe and is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

In the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the spectacular Poema del Mar aquarium, whose name is a tribute to the marine artwork of the Gran Canarian artist Néstor Martín-Fernández de la Torre. Visitors can discover the aquatic biodiversity of the 5 continents through a route that covers three main areas: surface marine ecosystems, deep marine ecosystems and freshwater species

Tenerife Marina is located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the east of the island, and lies very close to the city centre. It has 220 berths on nine pontoons arranged by size for boats of up to 16 metres; there are also visitor moorings. Hard standing is also provided for up to 100 boats. Other services include 24-hour security, washrooms, drinking water, electricity, a tow service and 'travelift'.

The Sisacumbre viewing point is located in the south of Fuerteventura, in Pájara, and is an excellent place to view the skies. With ample parking and information areas there are also signs to help visitors locate the constellations, a sun dial and a vertical clock. For true astronomy addicts Sicasumbre offers the necessary supports for those of you who have your own telescopes and cameras. Don't forget warm clothes.
