Salinas de Janubio Viewpoint

From this viewpoint you can enjoy a panoramic image of the largest saltwork architecture in the Canary Islands: the Janubio Saltworks. Here, salt has been collected in a traditional, artisanal manner for over 100 years. They are the only saltworks on the island of Lanzarote. In addition, they were declared a Site of Scientific Interest due to the passage of migratory birds.

The volcanic cliffs, the green lagoon and the waves breaking just a few metres away offer a unique experience for the senses. The viewpoint connects with a path that goes down to the beach of El Golfo, where one can enjoy the scenery by the seashore.

Los Hervideros Viewpoint

"Los Hervideros consists of some volcanic caves located on the south-western coast of Lanzarote. The crashing of the waves against the cliffs and the way the water swirls between the rocky cavities results in a living landscape that is full of colour, especially at high tide. This phenomenon gives its name to the viewpoint itself, as the water seems to boil up from the rocks (Hervidero comes from the Spanish verb hervir, to boil). To visit them, you have to go down the steps and the designated paths leading to the different balconies. If the water is rough, we recommend you take some minimal safety measures, especially if you are with children."
