The midlands and highlands of San Bartolomé de Tirajana offer rugged landscapes and impressive ravines such as those of Tirajana and Arguineguín, which define the east and west sides of the municipality. Visitors will also be impressed by the Fataga, Los Vicentes, La Data and Chamoriscan ravines, which flow into Maspalomas.
In the old part of the village, known as Tunte, stands the Church of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, consecrated in 1922. This church has a basilica floor plan divided into three naves. The High Altarpiece stands out, a work created by the master artist Lino Feo Ramos in 1922. The effigy of San Bartolomé, acquired between 1783 and 1787, sits in the central niche of the altarpiece.
