Following the road in the direction of the El Golfo valley you will come to one of the most visited tourist places in El Hierro, the Well of Health, known locally as “Pozo de la Salud”. This is a medical mineral water spring, which has had curative properties attributed to it since the 19th Century. The scarcity of fresh water on the island led to the excavation of this well, and the excellence of the water soon made all who drank it feel better. Its fame reached such proportions that water was even exported to Cuba and Puerto Rico.

There are many beautiful natural pools in the Canary Islands, but three so close, where you can almost jump from one to the other in seconds are few and far between.
