The Time Viewpoint overlooks one of the most spectacular views on the island of La Palma: the vast valley of Aridane, covered by banana plantations and cut by the deep gorge of Las Angustias, which ends in the charming port of Tazacorte. On a clear day, the island of El Hierro can be seen. This viewpoint, located 700 metrers above sea level, is on the LP-1 road, between the towns of Los Llanos de Aridane and Puntagorda: an ideal place to recharge on a car journey over the western side of La Palma.

If the Caldera de Taburiente (caldera = crater) were a huge auditorium created by nature itself, the Cumbrecita Viewpoint would be the best seat in the house. This natural balcony occurs at the end of a narrow valley that suddenly stops short and hangs before the abyss of the crater, a breath-taking natural basin with a diameter of six and a half kilometres, right in the centre of the island of La Palma. The views of this immense valley and its dozens of ravines covered in pine are simply unforgettable.

From the La Peña Viewpoint in Guarazoca (in north of El Hierro), the consequences of a breath-taking prehistoric event are clearly visible: the giant landslide that occurred millions of years ago and created the El Golfo Valley. The cliffs of this huge crevice - fifteen kilometres wide and one and a half kilometres high - is covered by dense endemic vegetation. At its foot lies a volcanic plain with vineyards and orchards that ends in the blue Atlantic. From La Peña you can also admire the unspoilt Salmor rocks, a sanctuary for El Hierro's giant native lizards.

Five 'guardians of rock' watch over the entrance of Garajonay National Park as you approach from the capital of San Sebastian. These enormous rounded blocks were formed by magma that never came through the earth's surface and were then made visible by erosion. Today they protrude dramatically from the island’s green forest canopy like sentries. This group of viewpoints in Los Roques offers stunning views of the landscape and is part of the Unesco Biosphere Reserve of La Gomera.

This viewpoint is a must for those who want to discover a different side of Fuerteventura to the tourist centres. The interior of the island, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve, will amaze visitors with its rugged landscapes, completely devoid of tourist areas or sand dunes. An almost endless succession of rounded hills unfolds in front of visitors’ eyes, coloured in ochre tones and, between them, winding canyons with little towns and villages in their depths. It is an amazing landscape that evokes serenity and spaciousness.

The viewpoint in Las Playas is the perfect place to feel the tingling sensation that runs through the body when approaching a cliff. Just a 20-minute drive away from Valverde, this platform is perched on the top of a natural amphitheatre, four kilometres in diameter, whose slopes descend sometimes heights of up to 1,500 metres as they reach the sea. At its base, facing the ocean, there is a beautiful almost undeveloped semi-circular bay, with beaches fringed by the white of the waves. All found in the heart of El Hierro a designated Unesco Biosphere Reserve.

From the Cherfe Viewpoint a 360-degree panorama unfolds of the western side of Tenerife, with prominent aspects visible like Spain's highest mountain, Teide. Even the view of this volcano is unusual in that it is the less seen western face of the volcano that is visible, rather than the more typical images. In front of Teide lie the Chinyero volcano and the beautiful Santiago valley. Turn around and the sharp edges of the Teno Mountains and the village of Masca appear as well as the islands of La Gomera and La Palma rising over the Atlantic.
