La Graciosa is a beautiful slip of earth measuring 29 km2 and with only 750 inhabitants in the Canary archipelago. Previously administered by Lanzarote, a year ago it officially became the eighth Canary Island and joined the European continent by popular demand, in order to better preserve its environment.

Located in the town of El Ménado, Granadilla de Abona, this spot is about 40 minutes by car from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Like most spots on the island, the light brown beach is a mixture of sand and rocks. Located in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, this is an easily accessible beach with dark sand. Its dimensions are 250 metres by 40 metres. The moderate waves and urban location make it perfect for all the family.

Located in front of the old Algaete pier, this spot is made up of rounded stones and crystal clear water. It’s one of the few beaches in the municipality that can be easily accessed. The dimensions of the spot are 500 metres by 20 metres. Along the local promenade there are a wide variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy something to eat between swims.

Located in the town of Telde, this is a Blue Flag beach that’s 350 metres long. It’s of volcanic origin, and there are a variety of services on offer which make it perfect for all the family. There’s a free spa, a picnic area, and a playground for children.

Located in Costa de Teguise, this 375-metre-long beach has beautiful sand and calm water. Local facilities on offer include sunbed rental, parking, and showers. The beach is also equipped with thick stone walls, stairs, and green areas to grab some shade on hotter days.

At 1,400 metres long and 30 metres wide, this beach is the largest in La Gomera. Divided into two by rocks, it has black sand and calm, transparent water. Its seabed is very high quality and great for diving.
