Buenavista Golf

A golf course between the Atlantic Ocean and the Teno mountains

Buenavista Golf is located near the small resort town of Buenavista del Norte, in the north-west of the island of Tenerife. Designed in 2003 by world champion Severiano Ballesteros, it is strategically placed between the protected Teno mountain range and the the sea. It is so close to the cliff edge that on some holes you have the feeling of striking the ball straight into the Atlantic. Buenavista Golf is a golf course played with the ocean as a magnificent backdrop.

Golf by the sea in Tenerife

Buenavista Golf is right on the sea front. The greens of five holes are played with waves breaking very close to play and players will need to hit accurate shots in order not to lose the ball on holes 15 and 17. Between the 9th and 18th hole is a central lake linked by waterfalls that creates a very pleasant atmosphere. For its commitment to the environment the course has been awarded the Premio Madera Verde 2006 and has received ISO 14001 and 9001 certificates.

Sustainability

- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats.
