The Old Town of Puerto de la Cruz

Located in the north of the island of Tenerife, Puerto de la Cruz was one of the first places in the world to attract the burgeoning international tourist trade of the late 18th Century. The former port of La Orotava, it is home to historical sites such as the old customs house (now an art museum) and the area around the plaza del Charco. The San Telmo promenade and the fishing district of La Ranilla, as well as the swimming pools of Lago Martiánez - created by the artist César Manrique in 1977 - situated between the Martiánez and Jardín beaches, are also a must-see.

Chejelipes

The countryside around Chejelipe in the east of La Gomera is shaped by its three reservoirs; three oases surrounded by fertile crops and delightful palm groves. The small houses that form this little village close to the island capital, sit on the slopes of the La Villa ravine and create an image that’s hard to equal. With just under 50 inhabitants, this isolated corner, though easy to get to, is a peaceful haven.

Located in the west of the island, the town of Los Llanos de Aridane is the economic capital of La Palma due to its prominence in the agricultural and tourism industries. The city stretches out from the Plaza de España; home to the church of Los Remedios and what are believed to be some of the oldest Indian laurel trees in the Canary Islands. Beyond lies the Plaza Chica with its carved stone fountain. At the top of town the picturesque Fernandez Taño and Calvo Sotelo streets are lined with traditional Canarian-style low houses.
