There was little reason to give it another name, as what truly defines this 50-metre-long cove in the Frontera Rural Park (Lomo Negro) is that it is the only one formed from mollusc shells, carried in by marine currents and gradually eroded as waves repeatedly break against the volcanic rocks along the coast.
