Halfway between the villages of Yé and Máguez, in the north of Lanzarote, we find the Guinate Viewpoint: an enclave at an altitude of 500 metres with privileged views of the Chinijo Archipelago and the vast Atlantic horizon. The waters here are home to Europe’s largest marine reserve, 700 km² of protected natural space teeming with underwater life and volcanic scenery.

"Los Hervideros consists of some volcanic caves located on the south-western coast of Lanzarote. The crashing of the waves against the cliffs and the way the water swirls between the rocky cavities results in a living landscape that is full of colour, especially at high tide. This phenomenon gives its name to the viewpoint itself, as the water seems to boil up from the rocks (Hervidero comes from the Spanish verb hervir, to boil). To visit them, you have to go down the steps and the designated paths leading to the different balconies. If the water is rough, we recommend you take some minimal safety measures, especially if you are with children."
