Imada

Found in the centre of La Gomera, Imada is a tiny village, boxed in at the base of the Refate ravine, in the shadow of the mountains and overlooked by rocks. It is close to the protected landscape of Orone and daily life is spent cultivating crops on the green terraces between a multitude of palm trees. Narrow lanes and pathways lead off its one main street, which bring you to traditional Gomeran houses, many of which are made from bare stones and others whitewashed, contrasting with the green of the surrounding countryside.
