El spot de kitesurf de playa de El Cabezo, apto solo para los usuarios más expertos, está situado en el sur de Tenerife, junto a la zona turística de El Médano. El fondo es de arena y reef volcánico, y cuenta con olas que rompen tanto de izquierda como de derecha. Es preferible practicar kitesurf mientras hay marea alta o media marea, ya que por el recorrido sobresalen algunas rocas volcánicas que pueden ser peligrosas con la marea baja y porque en estas condiciones la entrada al agua es algo más sencilla.
