Vueltas Beach

Vueltas Beach is in a semi-urban area of Valle Gran Rey, on the southwestern coast of La Gomera, and next to the port with the same name. Its dark, volcanic sand and the lack of waves, as the sea is sheltered by a breakwater here, make it perfect for a peaceful swim. Walks along the seashore are also very pleasant, breathing the sea breeze or shopping at any of the nearby shops. The fishing boats resting on the sand lend a really delightful seaside atmosphere to the beach.

Scuba diving in Veril Grande

In the south of Fuerteventura, in front of the Jandia lighthouse, a spectacular enclave known as the Veril Grande can be found that is perfect for divers of all levels. At a depth of 20 metres, the top of the wall drops vertically to about 40 metres and hidden species like bream, black eels, stingrays and angel sharks emerge. Just before reaching the shelf, garden eels can also be seen. Occasionally, large deep-sea fish like whale sharks and giant devil rays have been sighted.
