Teatro Pérez Galdós

After its rehabilitation, the Pérez Galdós Theater has been considered one of the most modern theaters in Spain. Its main hall is divided into 4 levels, with a total of 1,085 seats. On the second floor is also the Saint-Saëns Room, of great artistic value, which has natural light through the stained glass windows. It has 3 more rooms, a cafeteria and a terrace.

Jardín de la Marquesa de Arucas

The Jardín de la Marquesa, located in Arucas, is a botanical garden of great variety, including vegetation from all over the world. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and finding a moment to disconnect. It houses the Palacete, a family summer residence where the blue facade (covered with basalt stone) stands out, very characteristic of the town of Arucas. Jardín Botánico Pirámides de Güímar

In 2017, Pirámides de Güímar was unanimously accepted as a member by the Ibero-Macaronesian Association of Botanical Gardens, thus becoming the fifth botanical garden in the archipelago. Through its more than 20,000 square meters of accessible landscaped areas and its various specialized gardens, visitors can discover a wide variety of plant collections, duly organized for their consultation, visitation and recognition. The botanical exhibitions have been carried out following scientific conservation, cultural and educational objectives. The Park also has a Collaboration and Advisory Framework Agreement with the University of La Laguna.

Parque de Taoro

It is located on the mountain that gives it its name, from where you can enjoy an excellent panoramic view of the city of Puerto de la Cruz. It consists of about 100,000 square meters of gardens, walkways, lookout points, luminous fountains and waterfalls. There is also has a children's playground, a kiosk with restaurant, bar and terrace. Taoro Park consists of three main areas: La Atalaya, Camino de La Sortija and the gardens of Taoro. The lookout point of "Dulce Maria Loynaz" is in La Atalaya. The La Sortija area is very popular with athletes who come here every day to train. In Taoro Park the figures of the old Gran Hotel Taoro and the Anglican Church stand out. The Gran Hotel Taoro, inaugurated in 1890, was one of the most important hotels on the island in its time, hosting important personalities such as Agatha Christie.

Parque Cultural La Zarza (Arqueología)

La Zarza is one of the largest rock art sites on La Palma, both in terms of the size of the engraved surface (29 panels) and the complexity and development of the motifs. For this reason, it was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest on April 4, 1995, and shortly thereafter the Archaeological Park with a Site Museum was built. The archaeological site, discovered by Don Ramón Rodríguez in 1941, consists of pastoral settlements, several caves and seasonal occupation cejos. The motifs represented can be grouped into four basic categories: spirals, circuliform, meanders and linear.

Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes

The Municipal Museum of Fine Arts has fourteen rooms that house works dating from the sixteenth century to the twentieth century. The building is classicist and was built in early 1929 by the architect Eladio Laredo. The exterior is decorated with 10 busts of illustrious Tenerife citizens, including Teobaldo Power (musician and composer), Ángel Guimerá (poet and playwright), Juan de Iriarte (grammarian and literary figure), Antonio de Viana (poet), Villalba Hervás (historian), Bethencourt y Molina (engineer) and Valentín Sanz (painter). In 1840, the City Council ordered the construction of two caissons to preserve them. This initiative was the origin of the museum. In 1933, the rehabilitation of the current building began. Until then, the artistic collections of the municipality were exhibited in the meeting room of the City Hall. Some of the most notable works that can be found in this museum are the "Triptych of Nava and Grimón" by the Flemish painter Pieter Coecke; "San Andrés" by José de Rivera; "Orfeo" by Bueghel; a portrait of Queen Isabel II by Federico de Madrazo and Fernando Viscaí, by Joaquín Sorolla, among others. The museum is also home to an important representation of Canarian artists such as Gaspar de Quevedo, Cristóbal Hernández de Quintana, Juan de Miranda and González Méndez, as well as guided tours of the museum itself and the city's heritage (Santa Cruz Monumental, Plazas and Alamedas), book presentations, lecture series and musical recitals.

Centro Etnográfico Casa El Maestro

The "Casa del Maestro" Ethnographic Museum is located in a traditional house rehabilitated to harbor it. Inside, you can enjoy five rooms that explain the different aspects of traditional life in Tijarafe. This museum houses a large number of aboriginal ceramic pieces. In addition, there is a permanent exhibition of images dedicated to the Devil's Dance, as well as the exhibition of several bigheads and the old Devil of Tijarafe. Craftsmanship is strongly rooted in the history and tradition of Tijarafe, making this museum one of the most representative of the area.

Centro de Visitantes de La Caldera de Taburiente

The Caldera de Taburiente National Park Visitor Center is the place to get updated information on the status of the trails that make up the park. It has an exhibition with general descriptions of the protected areas, geology and hydrology and animal life, among other topics. In addition, you can also enjoy a video library with specific audiovisual material and a library on the natural history of the Canary Islands and Caldera Taburiente.
