Bodyboarding in Punta Blanca

Punta Blanca is a bodyboarding spot located in the west of Tenerife, close to Guia de Isora. This is one of the most iconic waves of the island, both for its power and the unspoilt environment in which it is located. Recommended for riders of medium to expert level (especially on days with big waves), it's a short wave but it walls up and produces a powerful tube. This spot is ideal for extreme manoeuvres, has a great atmosphere and hosts several local surf competitions.

Bodyboarding at El Pico de La Laja

El Pico de la Laja spot is on the east coast of Gran Canaria close to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria city. An explosive, powerful wave, it’s a favourite amongst local bodyboarders. Care is required if the waves are big because the break is shallow and it’s therefore an advanced wave. Parking close to the break is difficult but you can reach it by walking south along the Avenida Maritima walkway that connects La Laja beach to the city, or by walking north from the La Laja Mirador car park, via the beach.
