Puntagorda Market

All markets are linked to the land and therefore to ecology. However, very few can boast award-winning certified organic produce. The Puntagorda market in the north of La Palma can do just that. It is also located in a fantastic spot next to the El Fayal forest, with tables, a barbecue area and a children’s playground. A wonderful place only two kilometres away from the town, that is ideal for an enjoyable, family weekend.

Pescante de Hermigua

These structures were built using stone and mortar for an iron arm that, supported on one or several foundations, remained over the sea where a ship could anchor to be stowed and a steam engine in charge of providing the necessary power to raise and lower people, merchandise and animals. There was also a warehouse and offices to manage the transit of goods and a conveyor that carried goods from the packing shops to the davit warehouse.
