Tacorón

Tacorón is a stunning beach that’s really easy to get to. The road that goes to the southern point of El Hierro turns off to the right just before it reaches its destination: the coastal town of La Restinga. A short path takes you to these natural pools which are really worth a visit. You can enjoy this peaceful part of the Atlantic all year round. It’s called the “calm sea” for a reason! It’s an unforgettable place where the marine blue sea meets volcanic black sand.

Car Route Through the South of Fuerteventura

This is, without a doubt, the beach route of the Canary Islands par excellence. From Gran Tarajal, a town with a large presence of residents, to the southern tip of Fuerteventura, the blond sand of countless coves continuously invites you to stop the car and enjoy the Atlantic. The first stop, in Tarajalejo, contrasts with the rest, given its black sand and lesser presence of hotels, but well worth a visit for breakfast. From here to the south, sunbathing and sea lovers will never have a chance to protest. On the contrary.

El Mocanal

The picturesque village of El Mocanal, surrounded by pastures and crops, is in the north of El Hierro. This traditional hamlet is very close to El Pozo de las Calcosas, a bathing area with spectacular natural pools, perfect for cooling off with a quick dip in the crystal-clear water. It is also famous for the ‘carpets’ hand-created out of natural materials such as flowers, sand and dyed salt that cover the streets for Corpus Christi, which attracts a large number of visitors every year. A beautiful place that captivates anyone looking for peace and quiet and who enjoys the unique beauty of this charming hamlet and the surrounding landscape.

Playa Grande

Playa Grande, located in Arico, is a beautiful, pleasant beach in the southeast of Tenerife. Its fine, golden sand and crystal-clear water with spectacular views of Mount Teide create an exceptionally delightful setting. We recommend visiting at low tide, as that will mean there is more space for walking, playing beachball or just sunbathing and enjoying a few relaxing dips in the sea, as there isn’t usually a current. When there is no wind, it’s a fabulous beach that is not frequented by many tourists but is popular with the locals, especially in summer.

El Reducto

Right in the centre of Arrecife in the east of Lanzarote, we find El Reducto Beach. On over half a kilometre of fine golden sand lies the best beach in the island’s capital city. The calm sea is sheltered by natural reefs, making it safe for children. Along the lively seafront promenade—with the characteristic coconut trees making it even more unique and appealing—are shops, cafés and restaurants that make it easy to combine a perfect day of beach and leisure.
