Roque de Garachico

The Roque del Garachico has huge vertical walls that drop down from its north-eastern side. One of them is home to beautiful orange coral. Mirador Astronómico La Muralla

La Palma is known for its volcanic landscapes and magical spots, but one of the best views is the night sky. The whole way around the island you can find multiple stargazing spots, such as La Muralla. In the Aguatavar neighbourhood you can gaze at the stars at night and admire the beautiful sunsets. You can also learn about its place in the mythology of the Awaras, the Prehispanic inhabitants of La Palma, and a sign that helped them find the North Star. The viewpoint is located in Recta de la Muralla, just next to the main road (LP-1) at 83km, next to a restaurant bearing the same name.

Route by Car Through Valverde and San Andrés

This route by car not only allows you to see how varied El Hierro is, but, in the end, the Mar de las Calmas lends meaning to the island's reputation as a haven of peace. Departing from Valverde, the capital and a renowned shopping area, the first stop leads to El Mocanal, a town with a great agricultural tradition, ideal for breakfast. Nearby, Guazaroca surprises you with its thatched houses, while the nearby viewpoint of La Peña, the work of César Manrique, offers stunning views of El Golfo and the rocks of Salmor.

Car Route in the North of La Gomera

A car route with curves and temperature changes does not seem, a priori, very attractive. But everything changes when this route is followed. From the capital to a valley whose name could not be more accurate, Vallehermoso [Beautiful Valley], this is the essence of La Gomera. Endless palm groves, a dense laurel forest of the Tertiary worthy of the best fairy tale, impressive basins leading to villages of typical architecture comprising stone and red tiles, as well as bathing areas for a necessary dip, make the northeast of the island an excursion to highlight.
