A road, winding through the vineyards of Tafira Alta, will take you to the Pico de Bandama Lookout Point, from where you can see a panoramic view of the municipality of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the volcanic caldera of Bandama and much of the northeastern part of the island of Gran Canaria. In addition, the lookout point has a Tourist Information Point. Both the Pico and the Caldera de Bandama are two natural units of great singularity and scientific interest. The cone is also an outstanding element of the landscape, visible from a great distance and with a magnificent panoramic view from its apex; the caldera has a perfect structure, which makes it one of the most beautiful in the Canary Islands. In addition, inside the caldera there are engravings made by ancient inhabitants of the island.
