Arrieta

A place without stress

The town of Arrieta, located in the municipality of Haría, is a corner of Lanzarote where stress never arrives. The delightful narrow streets are filled with amazing restaurants and cosy apartments. You are never far from a beautiful stretch of coastline. One of the most peaceful parts of the island, there is a cove, a beach, and a natural pool with fun water activities. Fishing is a very popular local pursuit, and many visitors (including family groups) enjoy the sport as part of a relaxing holiday.

Exotic natural environment

This part of Lanzarote has a wild and rich natural environment. Tourists can visit places such as the exotic bird park, Guinate Park. There are also the volcanic tunnels and caverns of Jameos del Agua, the Cueva de los Verdes lava tube, and the amazing Cactus Garden.

Sustainability

- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats, which pose a serious threat to the fauna.
- Do not throw any waste or other objects into the sea.
- Respect the animals. Do not bother them or feed them. If you see an injured specimen, you can call the emergency number: 112. Do not pick flowers or plants.
- Do not pick up or take away stones or any other item from the natural environment. And do not move them to pile them up into sadly famous 'towers'.
- Respect and look after the area's historic and cultural heritage, along with the different items of public furniture (information panels, railings, seats, lighting, etc.).
