Museo del Vino El Grifo

The original winery of the Canary Islands

This winery is the fifth oldest in Spain. Its press dates back to 1775. In the museum, visitors can get closer to traditional wine making tools and learn about how wine has been made over the centuries. Tours can be arranged with tastings and discussions on the history and innovations associated with wine. Visits can also include discovering the small cactus garden, the fruit orchard, and the Palm Tree. Those interested in wine will be fascinated with the muscatel “chabocos”, which are holes in the lava which 19th century vines grew out from.
