Trail Running in Tamadaba

A demanding run with views of Roque Nublo

This circular trail passes through the beautiful Natural Park of Tamadaba and areas of land in the northwest of Gran Canaria and starts in the neighbourhood of San Pedro in Agate. A 39 kilometre route which is only suitable for experienced runners. Along the run, impressive views of Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga and the Tejeda basin as well as one of the best preserved pine groves are to be contemplated and enjoyed.

One of the most spectacular descents in Gran Canaria

The route starts with a climb to Lomo del Palo, with a positive incline of 1,000 metres and continues on to Los Moriscos, the highest point of the run, at an altitude of 1,534 metres. From here we run to the town of Artenara, the dams at Las Hoyas and Samsó and the way of Los Romeros, one of the most spectacular descents in Gran Canaria. A convenient route from a logistic point of view (it finishes where it starts) but which needs planning and excellent physical fitness.
