During July, Candelaria celebrates the festivities in honour of its Patron Saint, Santa Ana, whose image is kept in the Candelaria Parish and neighbourhood. Most of the activities take place in the square, streets and other spaces in Santa Ana, as well as around the fishing pier, Calle El Pozo and Plaza de los Pescadores. They are the most deeply-rooted festivities in the local town and are celebrated throughout the month with a wide range of events for all ages.
