Temporary Exhibition: Alicia from behind

"Alicia from behind" is presented at the Museum of History and Anthropology as an exhibition that uses fiction to explore the boundary between idealisation and survival. Drawing on the photographic archive of Alicia Navarro, Miss Spain and Miss Europe in 1935, the show invites reflection on the contrast between the splendour of popular culture and the outbreak of war, questioning to what extent artifice, beauty, and play can become a way of holding on to life.
