Panza Burro

"Panza de Burro" plunges us, in a stark and humorous way, into the universe of two 10-year-old friends who live in a neighbourhood in the north of Tenerife, on the slopes of a volcano.

Shit and Isora, the two main characters, grow up in dysfunctional families under the protection of a female environment dominated by their grandmothers. Shit, whose absent parents work in construction and hotels in the South, follows Isora with unwavering devotion. Isora, an orphan struggling with an eating disorder, becomes Shit's beacon of adventure. Together they go through the summer amidst the tedium, looking for someone to take them to the beach and trying to understand and satisfy the emerging sexual desire that constantly agitates and confronts them, cloistered under the spell of a melancholy blanket of clouds."
