Yaiza Extremo Sur 2021

La Yaiza Extremo Sur returns, establishing itself as a cornerstone in the island's sports calendar. This year, alongside maintaining its traditional MTB and trail competitions tailored to varying levels, it introduces the thrilling 100 km Gravel category. MTB and Gravel enthusiasts will have the opportunity to traverse Lanzarote from north to south, starting in Órzola (Haría) and finishing in Puerto Calero (Yaiza), experiencing the island's striking landscape contrasts. In addition to the challenging 100 km route, there will be a 40 km alternative, starting in Mancha Blanca (Tinajo) and ending in Puerto Calero, catering to different competitors' objectives and skill levels. Regarding trail running, two routes are offered: a 27 km course starting in Yaiza and finishing in Puerto Calero, challenging participants with the demanding ascent to Femés and exploring the mountains of Los Ajaches Natural Park; and a 6.5 km trail ideal for beginners or those preferring a more leisurely experience, with both start and finish in Puerto Calero.
