Temporary Exhibition: (Post) Naturalis

At the Espacio El Almacén in Lanzarote, Gran Canarian artist Cristina Déniz, under the curatorship of Blanca de la Torre, presents the exhibition "Post(Naturalis): An Inter-Species Look at the Cabinet of Curiosities." This innovative artistic project draws inspiration from the concept of the “Cabinet of Curiosities” or “Wonder Room” to explore and question the anthropocentric view of these traditional spaces and their role in the construction of knowledge. "Post(Naturalis)" aims to challenge conventional museographic displays and move away from Cartesian categorical thinking, proposing instead a more integrative and less instrumental approach to Nature. The exhibition seeks to establish new connections of observation, interconnection, and coexistence with the natural environment, addressing issues such as ecosystem overexploitation and our growing disconnection from nature.
