Guatifay, the Making of a Popular Theatre

The Escénica Festival presents the exhibition "Guatifay, the Making of a Popular Theatre", in collaboration with UNED Sénior Lanzarote. The exhibition offers a visual journey through the history of the Guatifay theatre group, showcasing decades of passion, creativity, and commitment to the performing arts in the municipality of Haría. Founded in 1976, during a time of political transition and cultural openness, the group was born from a group of friends determined to keep local theatrical tradition alive. The exhibition pays tribute to all those who have been part of this collective history and the cultural heritage of Haría.
