Vará del Pescao

The festival in Arinaga is celebrated on the last Friday of August in honor of the local fishermen. Although it is not a religious event, it is highlighted by a joyful procession along the beachfront, featuring the "Barca de La Vará" as the main attraction. Accompanying this boat are about 20 vessels that, in a festive atmosphere, grill and distribute sardines among the attendees. The route begins at Risco Verde and extends along the promenade to the beach, creating a unique experience of community and celebration for all participants.
