Sones Latinoamericanos

The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium presents "Sones Latinoamericanos," a concert in which the Tenerife conductor David González will lead the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra (OFGC) and feature the renowned trumpeter Pacho Flores as soloist. This program highlights the strength of South American music and the richness of its folklore, including the premiere of two trumpet concertos: "Salseando" by Puerto Rican composer Roberto Sierra and "Historia de Flores y Tangos" by Argentine Daniel Freiberg. Complementing these works, the OFGC will perform Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5, one of the foundational pieces of 20th-century Russian symphonism.
