The Fesivities of Santa Lucía and Los Labradores, held in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, blend religious tradition with popular culture. In honor of Santa Lucía, the town’s patron saint, a solemn mass and procession are held, featuring the participation of "La Lucía Sueca," a symbol of cultural connection. The Romería de Los Labradores pays tribute to the Virgin of the Rosary with decorated carts, traditional attire, and offerings of local products such as wine, cheese, and the iconic "mejunje." Additionally, the festivities include folk dances (taifas), street parties (verbenas), livestock fairs, traditional games, and the symbolic burning of the "Haragán," showcasing the area's cultural and agricultural heritage.
