Romería de Los Cardones

The Romería of Los Cardones is one of the main events of the Patron Saint Festivities of Montaña de Cardones, in Arucas, and stands as one of the most heartfelt expressions of folklore and popular devotion in the municipality. During this traditional procession, locals and visitors walk through the streets dressed in traditional Canarian attire, accompanied by decorated carts, music groups, and folk ensembles performing songs and dances in honor of San Isidro Labrador and Santa María de la Cabeza. Beyond its religious significance, the romería also includes an offering of non-perishable goods for charitable purposes, reinforcing the strong sense of community that defines this celebration.
