Alfredo Kraus presents Michael Olivera & The Cuban Jazz Syndicate, a solid ensemble of Cuban musicians led by the talented drummer Michael Olivera, who will perform at the Rincón del Jazz with their work Y llegó la luz. Winners and nominees of the Latin Grammy Awards, the group members have extensive experience, having played with artists such as Chucho Valdés, Celia Cruz, and Paquito D'Rivera. Michael Olivera, a graduate of the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Havana, started his career in Cuba and, after moving to Madrid, released his albums Ashé and OASIS, both acclaimed for their infectious melodies and rhythms. Now, with The Cuban Jazz Syndicate, Olivera brings together prominent contemporary Cuban artists.
