Entre cortijos

The Entre Cortijos Mountain Race is one of the most emblematic trail-running events in the Canary Islands, held annually in the midlands of Santa María de Guía, in northern Gran Canaria. Centered in the picturesque Montaña Alta neighborhood, the competition offers three race formats adapted to different levels: EC26, EC15, and EC7, with approximate distances of 26, 15, and 7 kilometers, respectively. Participants traverse unique rural landscapes, passing through farmlands, forests, and pastures that belong to the Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) Queso de Flor de Guía area. The race stands out not only for its technical demands and scenic beauty but also for its commitment to promoting rural and ecological tourism while respecting and preserving the region's valuable natural heritage.
