The Archaeological Museum of Fuerteventura hosts the colloquium "The Architectural Legacy of Betancuria. Traces of a Protected Memory", as part of the Encounters with Heritage cycle, promoted by the Cultural Heritage Service. This event presents an approach to the traditional architecture of the municipality, through the experience of the authors of the Heritage Catalog of Betancuria.
The speakers will share insights to understand the historical, architectural, and ethnographic value of the built heritage, addressing typologies, construction techniques, and materials, as well as their adaptation to the environment. The activity pays tribute to the importance of identifying, documenting, and protecting this legacy, contributing to its conservation and the dissemination of a heritage that is an essential part of the identity of Betancuria and the collective memory of Fuerteventura.
