El Perro Maldito. Valsequillo

On the evening of every 28 September, the town of Valsequillo plunges into darkness to celebrate the enigmatic Mad Dog festival. In this event, the town’s youth take on the roles of actors in an infernal theatre, with the devil as the protagonist. Their goal: to sow fear among the brave souls who venture out to witness this intriguing evening.

Amidst the shadows, performances by stilt walkers, parades, dancers suspended in the air and more unfold. It’s a captivating spectacle that has evolved over time. In past editions, there were even artists who breathed fire, until a regrettable incident led to a change in the focus of the event.

Today, the Mad Dog festival continues to captivate with its charm and entertainment, maintaining strict safety protocols. In addition to the intriguing performances, attendees can enjoy music stages, beach bars and a vibrant night-time street party. An experience that blends the mystical with the festive in a night full of great fun.
