Feast of the Shepherds

The 25th of April is celebrated in La Dehesa the Feast of the Shepherds, a celebration framed in the long pastoral tradition of El Hierro of which it is recorded of celebration since 1567. At the foot of the Patron Saint of the Island, the Virgin of Los Reyes, the shepherds celebrate a day that in the past marked the departure of the communal pastures of La Dehesa.
