Danza del Diablo

During the festivities of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, in the early hours of 8 September, one of the most eagerly awaited events takes place: the Devil's Dance. Since 1923, this event stands out for its evil protagonist, who unleashes a pyrotechnic spectacle among giants and big-heads. The performance culminates with the symbolic explosion of the Devil's head, celebrating the victory of good over evil. This tradition, protected as an Asset of Cultural Interest and declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Canary Islands, fuses folklore and spectacle.
