Golden sand and crystal-clear water
Playa Grande, located in Arico, is a beautiful, pleasant beach in the southeast of Tenerife. Its fine, golden sand and crystal-clear water with spectacular views of Mount Teide create an exceptionally delightful setting. We recommend visiting at low tide, as that will mean there is more space for walking, playing beachball or just sunbathing and enjoying a few relaxing dips in the sea, as there isn’t usually a current. When there is no wind, it’s a fabulous beach that is not frequented by many tourists but is popular with the locals, especially in summer.
Relaxation, peace and fun
Playa Grande is definitely worth visiting to enjoy its charm. It is easy to get to and has a little car park next to the road where you can leave your car and then walk just a few metres to the beach. It is also accessible for people with reduced mobility. There are not usually any lifeguards here so, although it is not a dangerous beach, we recommend taking care while swimming, especially if you have small children with you. A perfect spot for some relaxation, peace and fun.
