A wild beach in Anaga Rural Park, Tenerife
Anaga Rural Park, in the north-east of Tenerife, is blessed with numerous places for swimming. Antequera beach, owing to its difficult accessibility on foot, maintains its reputation as a naturist’s paradise, with beautiful scenery and wonderful views; although many of its swimmers arrive at its golden volcanic sand via a pleasant boat trip. Either way, the calm seas, especially in the summer months, make a trip to this special unspoilt beach highly recommendable.
Take a boat to Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s virgin beach
If you opt to hike here you should be reasonably fit. The reward for your efforts? The priceless views you’ll encounter. Leave your car in Igueste San Andrés and from there take one of the two most popular routes; pathways that include canyons with some steep and more complicated sections, but that will take you, in roughly three hours, to Antequera. Many people choose a boat for the return trip, but however you experience it, Antequera is deservedly one of the most famous beaches the island has to offer.
