Oroja or La Roja Beach

A naturist beach

Located in the municipality of San Sebastián de La Gomera, this spot is known as either Playa Oroja or La Roja. Its dimensions are 500 metres by 35 metres. Thanks to its isolated location and difficulty of access, nudists frequent the area. Many people come to this spot aboard a boat from the nearby San Sebastián marina.

Nature in its purest form

From its calm waters to its rocky surroundings, everything on this beach invites you to relax and connect with nature in its purest state. It’s important to bring your own food and drinks since there are none of the services of an urban beach.

Sustainability
Sostenibilidad
- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats.
- Do not throw any waste or other objects into the sea.
- Respect the animals. Do not bother them or feed them. If you see an injured specimen, you can call the emergency number: 112. Do not pick flowers or plants from the environment.
- Do not pick up or take away stones or any other item from the natural environment. And do not move them to pile them up into sadly famous 'towers'.
- Do not use soap or gel in the showers located at the entrance to the beach.
- Try to use ocean- friendly sun creams.
- Pets are prohibited at most beaches. Make sure you can take them beforehand.
- Try not to alter the peace of the environment with excessive noise (loud music, yelling, etc.) or activities that might be bothersome, such as ball games.
