Iguala Beach

A beach for diving

Located in the municipality of Vallehermoso and with beautiful views of the rock that gives the beach its name, this spot has pebbles and black sand. The crystal clear waters offer rest and relaxation. The beach is rarely busy and is ideal for diving—thanks to the calm local water.

A charming walk

Although there is a dirt track that leads to the beach, it’s best not to arrive by car since the route passes through private property that may eventually be closed. Rather, it’s better to journey on foot from the neighbourhood of La Dama. The walk can last around an hour. It’s a time to enjoy the landscape and get in contact with nature.

Sustainability

- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats.
- Do not throw any waste or other objects into the sea.
- Respect the animals. Do not bother them or feed them. If you see an injured specimen, you can call the emergency number: 112. Do not pick flowers or plants from the environment.
- Do not pick up or take away stones or any other item from the natural environment. And do not move them to pile them up into sadly famous 'towers'.
- Do not use soap or gel in the showers located at the entrance to the beach.
- Try to use ocean- friendly sun creams.
- Pets are prohibited at most beaches. Make sure you can take them beforehand.
- Try not to alter the peace of the environment with excessive noise (loud music, yelling, etc.) or activities that might be bothersome, such as ball games.
