This hotel in Gran Canaria looks completely pure and harmonious. Even the red plaid on the beds, resting on immaculate white bedspreads, is the same in every room. You won't be able to fault this small rural fortress full of luxurious rooms, situated in the northeast of the island. It has ponds, stables, a heated swimming pool, a cellar and even a farm with animals. To top it all, there is a huge estate with trees and vines where the kids can run about and play until they get tired.

Nestling on the side of the mountain and protected by a stone wall, these old, low and rectangular farmhouses do not clash with their surroundings. Quite the opposite – they speak of rustic minimalism with their wooden tiled porches, thick walls and perfectly arranged gardens. They blend in perfectly with the surroundings – Bandama Caldera – which you can get to by an old path that goes from the hotel. The restaurant is great, but breakfast in the porch and the barbecues on Friday are top notch.
