This route is situated in northern Tenerife. It is a long route that borders the town Icod. The trails vary from coastal paths to reach higher altitude sections that run through the beautiful forests with the Canary Island pine tree.
Starting at sea level in San Marcos it goes in a long and slow ascent past La Vega and through dense, green vegetation. Here the trails are rather technical and you will notice how the landscape changes as you climb.Upon reaching 1500 m above sea level, the route continues on dirt tracks and pine needle trails through the Canarian pine forests before descending back down to the coastline along the Valley of Abruncho and Gotera.
The route continues from Las Longueras on dirt tracks along the coastline before arriving back at San Marcos, passing close by to the Rock of Garajados.
