Puerto de la Estaca

El Hierro trading port and harbour

La Estaca port is located in the north of the island of El Hierro, near Valverde. Although this port is dedicated to goods trading and passenger leisure, it offers a 250-metre berthing line with 120 moorings. These berths are prepared for leisure boats of up to 30 metres long and 6.5 metres draft. It offers services including a mobile ramp, 40-tonne travelift, crane and a dry dock.

The marina closest to Valverde

This marina also offers drinking water and electricity connections, for customer convenience. Valverde is located seven kilometres from the dock, but its proximity to the La Estaca neighbourhood gives sailors the option to stock up at the supermarket or one of its cafés. La Estaca is the only port on the island where passenger ships dock, something which should be taken into account when accessing the harbour.
