La Restinga Harbour

Europe’s southernmost harbour

Located in the south of the island of El Hierro is the very last harbour in southern Europe. La Restinga is dedicated to sports and fishing boats, with 22 moorings equipped for vessels of up to 20 metres. Its depth ranges from a maximum of eight metres at high tide to a minimum of two metres in certain areas at low tide. It also has a dry dock, a five-tonne 'travelift' and crane.

An ideal harbour for scuba diving

The crystal clear waters and biodiversity of the seabed in La Restinga make it a perfect area for scuba diving: there are several schools in the village offering courses for different levels. The proximity of the marina to the village of La Restinga is very convenient for replenishing supplies, finding any necessary replacement parts or savouring typical Canarian dishes in one of the nearby restaurants.
