La Gomera's bon-bon
In the north of La Gomera just over half an hour's drive from the capital you will arrive in a town which, for its pretty aspect, has become known as the bon-bon of La Gomera. This is Agulo, a large natural viewing point covered by the green of its crops and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, a charming town that is beautifully cared for, with cobbled stones and restored, well-maintained story-tale houses. A rural corner of the island full of charm which will leave a lovely taste in your mouth.
A town of charming streets with views over Tenerife
The best way to visit Agulo is to park your car and walk through the town centre, using the information panels on the streets as your guide. They will fill you in on the singularities of Agulo. The delightful church of San Marcos with its white spires is a stark contrast to the red roofs of the houses, and the views of Tenerife and the majestic Mount Teide add extra value to a town where you can breathe in the essence of La Gomera.
